Fit for Adventure

Fit for Adventure

December 23, 2014 | Location: Roswell, Georgia

I feel it is good for the soul to have a day with no plans. I have been so busy lately that those types of days have been few and far between. Although I love always having something to do, I have been eager for spontaneity. This dress and hat combo is exactly what I would wear on a Saturday with nothing planned other than to get out of the house. The dress is flowy and comfortable, yet undeniably stylish. To me, a hat always adds that extra “something” to an outfit. It really brings the whole look together and sets it apart from the normal dress + tights combination.

Another thing adding to my yearning for adventure has been the two funerals I’ve attended recently. They were for two women who lived long lives full of love and great experiences. Hearing the rich stories of their lives has inspired me to want to experience new places and things. Although I know I can’t always take an exciting trip to an unknown destination, I do know that there are many things I can do daily to enrich my life and make me step out of my usual element. This quote from Eleanor Roosevelt (an icon of their time) reminded me of the incredible women that have passed away and the legacy they left behind:

“The purpose of life, after all, is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experiences.”―Eleanor Roosevelt

Merry Christmas to you & yours,

Brianna
