The Perfect Plaid.
Date: November 5, 2015 | Location: Atlanta, Georgia
With each fall season, the hunt for the perfect plaid shirt begins. Plaid shirts are something I consider a staple: year after year, they're still in style. This year, I made more of an investment on this Frank & Eileen one that I got at Tootsies (Shops Around Lenox). Lately, I've gotten really into cleaning out my closet and only keeping items that I absolutely love. I'm trying to be much more mindful of my purchases and only buy things that I feel truly have staying power. This may mean spending a little more on staple items, but something doesn't necessarily have to be expensive to be considered a staple. I have a lot of items from Forever 21 and H&M that have stood the test of time in my closet.
I credit this positive change to my recent move - anyone that knows me well knows that I LOVE a getting rid of clutter (of course by donating/consigning anything I can). I also give credit to Meg Biram's new book, The Life Edit. If you're in need of a wardrobe makeover, you seriously need to read this. I'll be sharing more about my "life edit" in the coming weeks. I'm hoping to acquire some dad-made closet built-ins through this wardrobe makeover as well. ((Fingers crossed!))
If you think the setting of this blog post looks familiar - right you are! My husband and I met at AOS' founding location, Chattahoochee Coffee Company, to snap a few quick pictures yesterday during lunch. We then headed over to Heirloom Market BBQ, a hidden gem in the Smryna/Vinings area that is actually connected to a quick mart. This place has quickly landed itself at the top of my favorite lunch spots.
