Dressing The Part

Dressing The Part

Long Cardigan or Duster? I'm happy to claim it as either. When petite, sometimes things don't exactly fit as they're "suppose to." However, that doesn't necessarily mean you shouldn't wear them. For instance, this dress is suppose to hit slightly below the calf. Well, on me, it's the ankles. Ha!

I'm a stickler for wearing incorrect sizes or lengths in certain items-- like blazers or pleated trousers. But in all honesty, free-flowing dresses and long cardigans look great as long as you make them your own!

Out with the "rules" that say shorty's should always wear heals with below-the-knee dresses. Not only do I feel comfortable and spunky in these flat converse shoes, (again) I think it adds a light-hearted element to the look as a whole! Plus, more often than not, it's better to have fun with style than to sick to the rules.

Cheers to the shorty's!
