Tonal + Kimono
Date: April 16, 2015 | Location: An Alley Way In California
Tonal Dressing has become a habit this season. The simplicity of wearing one color makes me feel chic and sophisticated, no matter the color pallatte. Since I'm not particularly drawn to spring colors, I chose to pair this intrinsically spring kimono with a deeper color to fit my style. Adding burgundy items in several different tones brought the pastel print into my colorsphere. (I know, colorsphere is probably not a real word; except, perhaps, among HP printer toners ;)
Regardless, any way you wear it, a good kimono is a good kimono- and I highly recommend this one from Fab'rik Boutique.
The Free People trousers shown here have now made three appearances on Art of Style. They just seem to work with everything! Mixing them with similar shades of brown and my favorite Panama Hat completed the look-- and off we went to dinner. Carmel has the best hidden gems. We chose to eat fireside at Forge In The Forest. Try the Ahi Tuna, should you find yourself there!
