Brunch Wear

Brunch Wear

Date: August 23, 2015 | Location: Carmel, California

Sunday brunch is possibly my favorite pastime. When we moved to California, all of my brunch dream options came true-- and since then, I've been dragging Clayton all over the peninsula to various restaurants. We found a new favorite this weekend: Portobello, Carmel. The atmosphere couldn't be better and the food is dynamite. Honestly, if you're visiting or live in the area, give it a whirl.

Brunch hour correlates perfectly with my appetite, but also leaves the remaining hours of the day free for other activities. Since I've been speeding most weekends outdoors and makeup-less, there is little incentive to style hair and do makeup-- brunch plans or not. (You're catching on to the real reason for the boater hat, huh?)

So, here you have it. A simple outfit for swinging into town and grabbing the best crab bisk before changing into a tank and hiking shoes, which are all stored in the giant Madewell tote. I've put a scarf with a simple cotton dress, added the hat, gladiators … and done!
