"When I closed my eyes and let my mind wander, I could almost feel the sea breezes evaporating the moisture on my skin. I could recall the special pleasure of relaxing on a porch rocker after a shower at the end of the day on the beach.” –Robert Davis reminiscing on his summer family vacations on the Gulf Coast.
When you visit Seaside, Florida, you feel like you're taking a journey back in time to a place where family and the simple life hold the highest importance. For those of you that have never been, Seaside is a community positioned alongside the crystal blue water of the Gulf of Mexico in the Florida Panhandle. Robert Davis, who inherited the land from his grandfather, started building in 1981 with a goal of creating an idyllic, old-fashioned beach town where families could come to experience the same thing Davis did while growing up.
I love visiting Seaside while we are staying in Miramar Beach at my in-law's condo. It is truly one of a kind. My husband and I stumbled across this picturesque courtyard while exploring and felt it was too good not to snap a few photos at. This simple, classic outfit is one of my new favorites. In my opinion, no one makes a better denim shirt than Madewell. This one is super comfy and has great shape. I kept it simple by combining it with some new stone colored jeans from Zara and a timeless, pointed-toe heel.
