(Following up on Bri's comments on times of transformation)
Ya'll. I can't contain the excitement. I finally have a studio space! Eek! A little back story: When I started my little photography company, I named it Anna Howard Studios. (Even though I was a one-woman business operating from a single corner in our tiny spare bedroom). My intentions were for the business to grow into its name-- much like a bold birth name given in hopes that the child grows into a confident, all-emcompassing "Alastair Richard Cunningham VII." Ha! Good intentions begin at birth, right?
Well, Anna Howard Studios has finally hit puberty. And, yes, she's still working out some kinks and has many seasons of growth ahead. I think that's my favorite thing about working in a creative field. There is always room for betterment and oftentimes than not, reaching that next tier is mainly up to self-perserverance. No one can completely duplicate your artwork. It has to be produced by the artist. That challenge keeps me going each day, and keeps me creatively reaching toward higher goals. I've gathered an inspiration board for the loft studio space that I now share with three extremely talented people:
A hardy Cheers! to daily human interaction and building community! Also, a shout out to my husband for building a gorgeous copper-legged desk like the one pictured above. (and for only $100!) Photos of the actual space to come as soon as I rid an allergic reaction to Amoxicillin. Hives/swelling somewhat clash with fashion, too, so I'll spare you the gruesome details and post when I'm looking less like Shrek ;)
