"And all at once, summer collapsed into fall." – Oscar Wilde
Fall has finally arrived in Georgia. While we have had great weather during these last few weeks, it has hardly been autumn-like. Luckily, fall's arrival coincided with our trip up to my mom and stepdad's cabin in northern Georgia. We snuck out of the house early on Saturday morning to do a little exploring. Since the air was crisp and cool when we awoke, I decided to wear multiple layers to stay warm. My cozy cardigan from Madewell made an ideal top layer and I was happy to bring out my felt hat for the first time this year. After our morning walk, we headed back to the cabin for a breakfast of eggs, sausage and buckwheat pancakes. We took all of the dogs down to the lake before heading back to the city. It was so nice to get out and see fall's colors while also welcoming the cooler temps to the South.
