Why wear one jacket when you can wear two? That was my thinking exactly when the temps got way too low for comfort this past weekend. When the windchill is a blustery sixteen degrees, one jacket just doesn't cut it. It is also nice to be able to wear one jacket that is a little more form fitting and "part" of the outfit, versus a heavier winter coat that will be taken off once you're indoors. I wore my vintage leather jacket over a few of my favorite wardrobe staples: denim flares, a striped knit turtleneck and classic black belt - all from Madewell. I decided to dress things up a bit by wearing my closed-toe Marc Fisher heels. If you are in the market for new black heels, I implore you to look no further.
We actually got some snow and ice in Georgia over the weekend. Unfortunately, it was mostly ice in Atlanta, but it was still exciting! Luckily, I have innovative brothers that know how to rig up a snow machine, so we were able to do a little sledding on our ice day. The majority of the weekend was spent watching too many movies and taking it easy with friends and family; no complaints here!
